93+Pts-WA: The Red Hen vineyard is located on the west side of Oak Knoll AVA, where the soils are mainly well-drained gravelly loam with some clay. The 20-year-old vines are organically farmed. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 21 months in French oak, 70% new, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Hen Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color and vibrant wild blueberries, fresh blackcurrant and black raspberry scents with hints of dried Provence herbs, chocolate mint and lavender. 94pts-WA: The Alluvium vineyard is located on the west side of the St. Helena AVA, where the soils are mainly alluvial fans. The dry-farmed vines are almost 40 years old. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 21 months in French oak, 70% new, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Alluvium Vineyard sports a deep garnet-purple color and fragrant notes of cinnamon stick, Sichuan pepper and clove oil over a core of cassis, chocolate-covered cherries and boysenberries. 95pts-WA: The Ceniza vineyard (Spanish for ash) is located in the Coombsville AVA on soils composed of volcanic ash and fertile loam. The vines here are 18 years old, and it is farmed organically. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ceniza Vineyard was aged for 21 months in French oak barrels, 70% new oak. It displays a deep garnet-purple color and vivacious notes of crushed blackberries, kirsch and mulberries with suggestions of eucalyptus, dark chocolate and pencil lead plus a touch of cedar chest. Medium to full-bodied, crunchy black and red fruit flavors exhilarate the palate with a racy backbone of freshness and beautifully poised, fine-grained tannins, finishing long with a bright, cheery skip in its step.--Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate, 2/2021
